EcoWorld cares about the quality, organicness and safety of the raw materials used. Therefore, we have chosen a plant-based and completely biodegradable material - cane, which is created by nature and its resources. It grows in an ecologically clean zone of eastern Ukraine (Odessa region), devoid of industry. The cut reeds are renewed within one year, and the plant becomes taller and stronger. It decomposes in a few months and becomes a good organic nutrient for the soil. We can be proud that we are producing a clean product that does not harm the environment, with great benefit for the planet, and we believe that each of us, now, can contribute to minimizing plastic pollution.

Why we use cane in production
Cane is a great gift from nature, which we use as a raw material for making eco straws.
The cane we use grows in an environmentally friendly area, so you can be sure of the absolute safety of the material.
Important characteristics of cane
Cane products after use, after a while, disappear without residues. We do not use any toxic agents and chemicals in the manufacture, therefore, the used straw decomposes without harm to the environment. Compare this to a standard plastic product that takes 200 years to degrade.
Plastic straws began to be produced in the 60s of the last century, and just imagine that since then, every straw produced still poisons the planet.
We are very pleased that countries around the world are starting a battle with plastic straws. Many Ukrainians and catering establishments' owners are switching to the use of eco-friendly straws for personal reasons.
Why reed is preferred over other materials
Cane is not the only material from which sustainable straws are made. Reed competitors are:
glass and metal. Metal and glass straws are gaining popularity. Their plus is that they are durable and economical for businesses. While disposable items need to be replenished regularly, glass and metal items are not. But this is also a minus. They must be thoroughly cleaned after each use. But where is the guarantee that the straws will be safe?
Paper. The paper tubes are soaked by moisture and water. They are also not environmentally friendly, because they are made of cellulose.
With these facts in mind, we chose the cane. An absolutely natural material from which safe disposable straws can be made.
The fact that it is a renewable resource deserves special attention. Cut reeds grow in length after a year, and regular pruning only strengthens the plant. Cutting off part of the cane we do not violate the living conditions of birds and animals, we preserve the state of the ecosystem.
We use wild-growing reeds, so for its production you don't need to specially bog the land in order to get the right conditions.
This is a 100% environmentally friendly collection of material, after processing which a completely environmentally friendly product is obtained.
